The Akron Big Band

The Akron Big Band is a 19-piece, traditionally formatted big band playing music from the 1920s through modern time. The band has grown from a community-based recreational ensemble to a more premiere band playing over a dozen gigs a year primarily in Northeast Ohio. Our music ranges from Basie, Kenton, and Sinatra to the Tower of Power and the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band.

The Akron Big Band performs live for a variety of audiences and venues, ranging from intimate special event settings for dozens to larger facilities or locations catering to hundreds.
